Sometimes acne can result when the body is deficient in vitamins and minerals.  Taking vitamins daily can help provide nutrition that may not be obtained from food eaten throughout the day.  Vitamins that are important for skin vitality include vitamins A, B, C, E, Selenium, Chromium and Zinc.  Skin, Hair and Nails vitamins, specifically, contain additional ingredients such as Echinacea, Collagen and Horsetail which are beneficial to acne prone skin.

When a balanced diet is not practiced, taking 1 vitamin daily, for a certain period of time, can help ensure that your body receives these important nutrients.   When vitamins are taken, your body stores the nutrients and pulls them as they are needed.  Sometimes it can be beneficial to take these vitamins for a few weeks and then not again for a few weeks, etc. because the body only uses/needs a small amount at a time.  When possible, it’s best to get your vitamins from food sources.
Additional Notes:  When I began taking 1 Skin Hair & Nails vitamin daily (although the suggestion is to take 3) I noticed an improvement in my complexion and a reduction of small pimples.  I took the vitamins for a few weeks and then gave my body a few weeks rest, by not taking the vitamins.
