Carrot juice is one of the richest sources of beta carotene (vitamin A). It is also rich in minerals and antioxidants. Carrot juice cleanses the liver and therefore cleanses toxins from the body. People with acne prone skin can benefit from drinking carrot juice because acne can sometimes result from a build up of toxins in the body. In addition, the vitamin A in carrot juice heals the skin by strengthening it and by reducing sebum production.
In fact, some acne medications contain vitamin A, although the vitamin A contained in these medications is from a different source of vitamin A. The vitamin A in carrot juice is actually in the form of beta carotene which is converted by the liver into vitamin A once consumed. For optimal results, it’s best to invest in a juicer and make/drink freshly squeezed carrot juice. When juicing

carrots, drink the juice right away, instead of storing it in the refrigerator. When freshly squeezed carrot juice is stored in the refrigerator without being sealed properly, the juice can become de-oxygenated and lose valuable vitamins and minerals.
Here Are A Few Different Ways To Try Freshly Squeezed Carrot Juice:
Carrot – carrots are naturally sweet, so drinking carrot juice by itself is delicious.
Carrot / Ginger – Adding ginger to your carrot juice spices it up a bit. A little bit of ginger goes a long way, so a small piece is best.
Carrot / Apple (with or without Ginger) – This is another delicious combination. For a sweeter taste, try adding a Golden apple. For a sweet and sour taste, try using a Granny Smith Apple.
Carrot / Spinach – drinking this combination is a good way to get 2 servings of vegetables within minutes.
Additional Notes: When I began drinking 1 cup of carrot juice daily, I noticed that some of the acne scars (discoloration) on my face began to fade (slowly). I drank 1 cup of carrot juice daily for about 3 weeks. My skin became less oily overall and my skin began to develop a more even tone.
