Food allergies can be annoying and can make one hesitant to eat certain foods in order to avoid untoward reactions or flare-ups.  Some people do not know which foods cause reactions, but evaluating how you feel after consuming certain foods can help you determine which are good or not good for you to eat.

When you have a food allergy that produces a reaction such as itching, avoiding foods that produce histamine is helpful.  Histamine is a chemical released into the body after consuming certain foods, which can in turn cause an allergic reaction. Foods that contain high levels of histamine include some dairy products, red and packaged meats, fish and shellfish, eggs, soy, some spices and wheat.

In addition to avoiding foods that produce histamine, adding natural sea salt to your diet and drinking plenty of ph balanced water helps a lot, when trying to reduce itching caused by food allergies!
